Samsung smart TVs to support Apple iTunes, AirPlay 2 from spring

(Telecompaper) Samsung's new smart TVs will from the spring provide support for iTunes movies and TV shows, as well as Apple AirPlay 2. There will also be support for 2018 Samsung Smart TVs through a firmware update. The new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will debut exclusively on Samsung Smart TVs in over 100 countries. AirPlay 2 support will be available on Samsung Smart TVs in 190 countries.

(Telecompaper) The Telecompaper Stock Index European Telecoms made a nice gain during first few days of 2019 of 2.3 percent, leaving the EuroStoxx 50 index (+1.3%) behind. Tiscali (Italy) and QSC (Germany) were the winners, going up 21 and 12 percent, respectively. OTE, the Greek incumbent, was up 11 percent. KCOM of the UK (-6.7%), Turk Telekom (-5.6%) and Intred, the Italian fibre company (-5.4%), had a rough start of the year.

HTC revenues fall 62% in 2018 after step back on smartphone market
