02.18: Children's Nature Programs

2013-02-12 21:36:33| Powells Books Events Calendar

Join us for two preschool nature programs led by a local naturalist. Each program includes a story, real specimens, hands-on learning activities, and ways for students to connect to the nature in their community. At 1 p.m., "Dazzling Dragonflies" (for 3- to 9-year-olds) will teach students about the dragonfly life cycle, their habitats, and some of their amazing adaptations. At 2 p.m., "Woody Wood Ducks" (for 3- to 9-year-olds), students will discover the growth stages of the wood duck, their habitats, and how to recognize them in a neighborhood park. These programs are produced by Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District.
