DUTIES The postholder will be assigned as integrated support in the function of AITAIV Assembly, Integration Test or Verification and GSE Ground Support Equipment Engineer to the Galileo FOC Full Operation Capability Satellite Procurement Service Galileo Space Segment Procurement Office, Galileo Programme Department, Directorate of the Galileo Programme and Navigationrelated Activities and will report to the Galileo FOC Satellite AIV Manager. The duties of the integrated support post will include monitoring the AITAIV plans produced by the satellite prime contractor and ensuring, through regular meetings on the prime contractors premises, that they are coherent and consistent with the baseline schedule identifying potential risks to the schedule and identifying workaround solutions and risk mitigation actions to be implemented participating in Test Readiness Reviews TRR and Post Test Reviews PTR as the representative of the Project in coordination with those responsible for Engineering and Product Assurance PA. Participating in Test Review Boards TRBs and NonConformance Review Boards NRBs as one of the representatives of the Project. Providing daily AIT reports as required ensuring that all GSE is complete, configured and properly verified in time for AIT activities and that all software and automated procedures required for spacecraft verification are consistent with the requirements reviewing AIT procedures with the support of project staff and other technical representatives from the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management and ensuring that the test procedures properly trace these verifications to the requirements through test report and the Verification Control Document VCD provides as support to the Verification Control Boards VCBs supporting the launch campaign and ensuring the launch facilities are inspected and verified and in the required state of readiness for the satellite. Monitoring the completeness of all AITAIV activities up to launch in accordance with an agreed launch operations plan. These activities will require the physical presence of the postholder for prolonged periods on the launch site Centre Spatial Guyanais CSG, French Guiana in support of the Launch Campaign Manager monitoring the satellite production activities in the industrial facilities monitoring the satellite environmental test activities on site in the ESTEC Test Centre proposing new methods, technologies and activities to be assessed in the framework of technology programmes in the areas of system verification participating in periodic meetings with the parent section and contributing to the transfer of technical knowledge and lessons learned across the Agency. In order to perform the above duties, the incumbent will be required to travel extensively. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree or equivalent in physics, electrical or aerospace engineering or a related domain extensive experience of satellitelevel functional, performance and environmental tests experience of at least one complete satellite test and launch campaign in an AITAIV role experience of satellite verification engineering good knowledge of GSE operations and infrastructure good knowledge and practice of standard informatics tools text editors, spreadsheets, etc.. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating experience with the Galileo Space Segment and verification approach excellent competence in satellite qualification and acceptance experience with the serial production of satellites. Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse and international team environment and to define and implement solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlines. In addition, they should have good analytical, organisational and reporting skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologies. Security clearance from the relevant national security administration is required. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another member state language is an asset.
