A vacancy for an Attitude and Orbit Control system AOCSGuidance Navigation and Control GNC Advanced Studies Engineer mfhas arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The Advanced Studies engineer is in charge of the design of new AOCSGNC Attitude and Orbit Control systemGuidance Navigation and Control concepts and technologies for Earth Observation, Telecommunications, Navigation, Science, Formation Flying, Landing Rendezvous. Within this context, you will be in charge of the following activities for both satellite system studies technological Research Development studiescontracts Defining, analysing and protecting innovative concepts for new space missions architectures, algorithms, actuators and sensors Iteratively deriving AOCSGNC functional chain requirements architecture from mission needs, environment, spacecraft characteristics and equipment performance Defining and designing AOCSGNC algorithms, and assessing preliminary performancefeasibility on functional simulators Validating new concepts through an adapted approach full simulation, prototypeEM development and tests, SoftwareHardware IntheLoop and coordination with other engineering entities onboard software, mechanical electrical design, simulation tools Supporting transfer to industrial development phases. You have an Engineering diploma or a Masters degree with a specialisation in Space andor Automatic Control, with initial experience or a relevant internship in a similar position in the avionicsGNC field. You also have skills in allpart of the following technical fields Automatic control and signal filteringprocessing basics, Space flight dynamics basics, Knowledge of MatlabSimulink tools for modelling and functional simulation, Knowledge of AOCSGNC system design realtime implementation. You are able to adapt to fastchanging contextsrequirements while maintaining technical qualityfocus, and are able to rapidly identify key design drivers and synthesise recommendations. An advanced level of English and French is required for this position. You have the following qualities Innovative spirit, Good communication skills and ability to convince, Selforganisation autonomy, Sense of technical quality commitment, Ability to workinterface with teams.
