(Telecompaper) Saudi prince Alaweed Bin Talal and his Kingdom Holding (KHC), which he chairs, announced that they have increased their ownership in Twitter in the past six weeks to a total of 34.95 million shares, or over 5 percent of the company's common stock with a market value of USD 1 billion. The investment makes Alaweed and KHC Twitter's second largest shareholders after co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey. As disclosed in filings with the SEC, Alaweed holds 30.1 million shares and KHC 4.85 million. The current ownership includes shares they purchased in 2011 prior to Twitter's IPO.
