Main Responsibilities A diverse range of support tasks in the following position Assistance in preparation of invitation to tenders related to ESA RD. Activities and contracts technical followup. Specific engineering support to space projects developed by ESA andor by major European industriesoperators. Validation of designs by means of analyses, simulations, laboratory testing and field trials possibly in cooperation with third parties. Design, implementation and testing tasks for technological projects. In addition to the generic tasks in the WP overview, the following the Contractor shall carry out the following specific tasks Support the user terminal developments within the Iris project Support ARTES CG activities related to ground segment developments for telecom systems Support the preparation of the section RD technology roadmaps in the area of telecom systems and networks Support the section telecom lab activities The Ideal Candidate The key person should bring o PhD or Msc Engineering from a recognized Institution of secondary studies University, ecol superieure, etc or equivalent. o Min 4 years of a relevant experience. o Knowledge of satellite communication architectures and techniques. o Experience in analysis and design of modern digital communication systems, coding and synchronization issues. o Familiarity with modern communication system and subsystem simulation techniques, as a minimum Matlab and CC program languages. o Knowledge of modern prototyping and testing methodologies for digital communication subsystems is also preferred.
