We are looking for a Copernicus Account Management Engineer to work in Frascati, Italy. You will have the opportunity to support the European Space Agency ESA in the Copernicus Space Component Coordinated Data Access System CSCDA. In particular, the resource will respond to Copernicus Service Projects CSP evolving needs and take care of Copernicus Contributing Missions CCM activities in the vast fields of champion users management, user needs collection and requirements review, managing of CCM future evolution, monitoring of CCMsCSCDA interfaces. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Managing the CSCDA Users. CSP Progress Review organization and lead. Recording, Tracking, analysis of User Needs and their mapping in Data Warehouse Requirements DWH. End to End Management of CSCDA Datasets Data Access Portfolio updates, status, level of implementation, daily monitoring of orders, escalations, closure. Quota Management and User Survey Process Management. Attending international meetings to collect future user requirements and identify trends in EO applications and solutions. Assessing service improvements. Copernicus Contributing Mission Entities CCME monthly report reconciliation and validation. CSCDA Evolution support including requirements definition support Invitation To Tender and Contract Change Notices and Operations Scenarios definition. Providing support on technical solutions for specific ESAEC requests quota management, new mission to be offered to CSCDA users. Supporting the outreach activities. Technical interfaces monitoring CCMsCSCDA. Routine operations monitoring and link to CSCDA Quality Control CQC. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory A degree in a relevant technical field such as Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Geography or Geosciences. At least five years of experience in a relevant space EO industrial or research environment. Knowledge of ESA EO missions and their operational context. Knowledge of EO based science applications. Awareness of Copernicus environment stakeholder and Copernicus Contributing Missions. Good knowledge of GIS and related applications and tools. Drafting and editing complex technical reports. Proficient in MS Office Tools. Good communication and analytical skills. You are expert in technical writing and presentation. You have good negotiation skills and meeting management skills. You are a team player with an appetite for learning. You are result oriented and user oriented. Comfortable with Documentation Review. You are able to coordinate complex tasks. You are flexible and have a proactive approach. The following skills and experience would be highly desirable Knowledge of the Copernicus Space Component Data Access CSCDA context. ProjectService Management expertise. You have knowledge of Earth Science research community. You have experience in System Engineering and EO Data Processing. You have a previous job experience in an international context. You have experience with OGC Open Geospatial Consortium Standard and INSPIRE Geo Portal. Why should you apply?
