000 ABPZ20 KNHC 192307 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Tue Sep 19 2017 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Norma, located a few hundred miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A large area of disturbed weather associated with a broad area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles southeast of Acapulco, Mexico. Conditions are favorable for a tropical depression to form by the weekend while this system moves west-northwestward very near the southern coast of Mexico. Regardless of tropical cyclone formation, heavy rains are expected in this area during the next several days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent. $$ Forecaster Avila
