(Telecompaper) Ericsson has announced a partnership with Google, to extend the reach of the Ericsson cloud-based MediaFirst TV Platform into the Android TV ecosystem, Google's operating system for the set-top-box. Google said its MediaFirst TV will be integrated with Android TV, expanding the range of STB options available for Pay TV operators and opening up portential new opportunities for revenue.
