U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx awarded $24.5 million in FAA grants to 11 airports in USA to reduce emissions and improve air quality through FAA's Voluntary Airport Low Emission (VALE) and Zero Emissions Airport Vehicle (ZEV) programs. There were 8 recipients of $23.4 million VALE grants and 2 recipients of $955,088 in ZEV grants. In comment, FAA's Michael P. Huerta said, "airports must be responsible environmental stewards and good neighbors to their surrounding communities."
