(Telecompaper) Android has grown to over three-quarters of smartphones sold in Europe's biggest markets. According to the latest data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, Android accounted for 76.5 percent of smartphones sold in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain during the three months to May, gaining 6.0 percentage points from the same period a year earlier. In China, Android accounted for nearly four out of five smartphones purchased in the same period, and the Google OS captured 68.5 percent of sales in the US.
