(Telecompaper) Huawei has unveiled its new Android smartphone, the Ascend P6. Claiming to be the world's thinnest phone at 6.18mm thick, the Ascend P6 features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, metallic body and 4.7-inch display. Aimed at fashion-conscious users, the phone will be available in black, white and pink versions, with matching covers. It will ship first to China this month and be available in Western Europe from July through Vodafone, Telefonica, Orange, 3, O2, Carphone Warehouse, TalkTalk, Media Markt and Saturn, TIM, Amazon and CDiscount. Other markets will follow. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 and comes with a 2000mAh battery, 'MagicTouch' for enhanced screen responsiveness even when wearing gloves, an 8 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front camera and an updated version of Huawei's Emotion user interface.
