Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Description The IT Business Analyst will report to the Head of the Corporate Business Process Office in the Information Technology Department, Directorate of Internal Services and will be responsible for ensuring that data across all corporate IT systems is managed in line with ESA and departmental strategy and policies. Duties Maintaining Agency corporate data consistently across the corporate system landscape and corporate processes and aligning it with the corporate process model Guaranteeing data consistency via appropriate controls, in place or to be established Analysing the highlevel data flow between corporate systems to ensure the integrity and consistency of the overall corporate systems business architecture, including interfaces with local systems Proposing improvements to the systems or contributing to the assessment of ICT solutions to avoid multiple data entry and increase the dissemination of data across corporate applications and systems Identifying and standardising the use and governance of information in support of the overall global business strategy Improving and maintaining the corporate process data model Contributing, with a business perspective, to the design and implementation of new corporate solutions Ensuring that new systems or major evolutions of existing systems are coherent with the corporate data model, together with the project teams within the IT department Analysing business requirements related to corporate systems solutions Providing advice on how to optimise the use of existing tools and systems, contributing to the update of the relevant business procedures Performing any other activities, as deemed appropriate to cope with emerging needs within the IT Department in the area of competence. Technical competencies IT business process design ERP solutions knowledge Data management technology Data modelling and database design Business intelligence tool Behavioural competencies Problem solving Results orientation Communication Planning organisation Relationship management Customer focus Additional requirements Applicants should have more than ten years of professional experience in business process design, or management, for large ERP solutions. Education Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree in a relevant discipline such as computer engineering, business administration or similar. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset. The Agency may require applicants to undergo selection tests.
