Cars. Com president Mitch Golub is retiring from the company after nearly two decades in that role. Golub will stay with the company through March 1 of next year to make sure a smooth leadership transition takes place. Golub is being followed in the president role by Dan Jauerning, chief executive officer at Cars.com. Jauerning has been an executive at Classified Ventures, LLC, the former ownership company of Cars.com. In August, Gannett Co. purchased Cars.com for $1.8 billion in cash.
