While market conditions looked quite vulnerable in December with the looming fiscal cliff and the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, wholesale prices ended the year on a strong note, according to the NADA Used Car Guide.
Prices for all segments fell by scant 0.7% from November, while mid-size cars, utilities, and vans were up
Compared to December 2011, overall market prices were 1.9% higher; large pickups and SUVs had a great month, but as for luxury utility vehicles
Used vehicle price movement followed more traditional seasonal patterns for 2012, while certain external factors affected results
