A vacancy for a Operational Architectdfm has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join Engineer Future Projects Operational Analysis Airbus Defence and Space is Europes largest defence company and is at the cutting edge of defence technology and capability development in order to meet current and future defence requirements. Future projects Operational Analysis team helps work with the customers to develop and evaluate these requirements and the potential military environment that our products will work in. The department works with the Airbus project teams throughout the design, development, implementation and support phases in order to ensure that our products not only meet the known requirements and flexibly adapt to deliver effective capability as future requirements evolve. New doctrines, processes and skills need to be gradually developed in alignment with the planned arrival of FCAS capabilities and meeting the related technological challenges. FCAS will require a step by step approach to be jointly tackled by European air forces, navies and industry. If you want to turn Customer needs into Military Aircraft concepts, define the operational Architecture and the design spaces for those Concepts as well as mature those from a pure idea to a flying demonstrator join the Future Projects Organisation. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Define and model Operational and strategic system engineering views. Define the systemproduct context of use and complete stakeholders needs. Elicit, analyse and derive requirements from stakeholder needs or upperlevel requirements, over the successive system decomposition levels, write SMART requirements in compliance with quality criteria, avoiding over and under specification manage specificities of interface requirements validate requirements, individually and as requirements consistent sets, by providing evidences that a system implementing requirements will fulfil the defined needs. define justify the requirements allocation to the given system elements taking into account the architectural interfaces and constraints, e.g. requirements constraining system architecture, ensuring traceability manage requirement changes, including impact analysis and requirements baseline establishment identify tradeoffs criteria and evaluate architecture against those multiple criteria. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Aeronautical scienceElectrical engineeringComputer science with several years experience Proven track record 10 Years plus in system modelling using Enterprise Architect or CAMEO profound knowledge of the NAF Modelling world would be a plus Military background in the German Armed Forces Experience with the national Customer BAAIN Bw Experience in C and Python strong analytical skills Intercultural openness experience in international cooperation programs Fluent German, Advanced English Due to security reasons FCAS core nationalities will have priority, German national securityclearance must be obta
