We are looking to hire a Payload Engineer to provide technical expertise on communications satellite payloads in support of Telesat customer and internal communications satellite procurement programs. The successful candidate will possess A degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in microwaves or communications Significant directly related industry experience which includes Payload budgets, analysis and specifications Design andor procurement with payload hardware LTWTAs, receivers, multiplexers, and other active and passive components used in communications payload Test requirements for payload units and payload subsystems Leading others in the resolution of technical problems or in spacecraft monitoring activities and providing technical guidance to more junior engineers Proven ability to make sound decisions Excellent technical and analytical skills, expert in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with MatLab software Excellent communication written and verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Attention to detail Ability to travel significantly up to 50 of the time for extended periods Ability to work in Canada and to obtain the required clearances If you are interested in this opportunity please apply online at www.telesat.com.
