Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Raw material costs of polyester fiber producers have continued soaring in the last seven days in the Far East, with PX and PTA markets eventually experiencing a double digit surge in the past four weeks. Polyester fiber prices have also sharply risen in the meantime ahead of a seasonal rebound of demand in September. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
