Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Polyester fiber prices have begun sharply falling in China, over a dramatic decline of PTA prices in the past two weeks. Market participants are expecting prices could further dropped and have refrained from replenishing their stocks. Prices are still far above their initial level four months ago, before they have suddenly started surging. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
