Publix bags $1 billion in profit in first half of 2015

Publix Super Markets Inc. saw across-the-board growth in the second quarter that has the grocer on track for another record-setting year. Sales in the second quarter were $8 billion, up 6 percent from $7.5 billion the second quarter of 2014.
