Serco Nederland BV is looking for Radio Navigation Engineer. Overview Supported tasks within the section domains can be grouped in the following main headings Assistance in preparation of invitation to tenders related to ESA Projects and RD activities and contracts technical followup Specific engineering support to space projects developed by ESA andor by major European industriesoperators Validation of designs by means of analyses, simulations, laboratory testing and field trials possibly in cooperation with third parties Design, implementation and testing tasks for technological projects Execution of internal RD activities through design, prototyping, analysis and simulations Simulation and testing in laboratory of Navigation systems and equipment Preparation of technical documents on above subjects Support to related demonstrations inside and outside ESTEC The work in laboratory activities shall be performed based on the existing Radio Navigation facilities available at ESTEC. Specific Task This includes design, analysis and testing of radio navigation systems, with emphasis on system architecture and performance and on radio navigation receivers. The principal tasks and responsibilities will include Participation in studies on radio navigation receivers design and techniques, in particular for Galileo Support to the Galileo project in the followon of industrial contracts for test and system receivers Support to the Galileo project for system performance evaluation Software hardware simulations and laboratory testing Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a University degree, MSc minimum or equivalent in telecommunications and signal processing as well as experience in these fields. Specific knowledge in the design and testing of Radio Navigation systems and equipment Experience related with the EGNOS andor Galileo systems and equipment Specific knowledge of radio navigation systems architecture and key performance parameters of GNSS You shall have a minimum of 12 years of practical experience in the EGNOS and Galileo areas Some knowledge of Radio Navigation simulation and testing systems Experience in receiver design and testing Detailed knowledge of Rx algorithm at User Level Specialist in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation simulation and test facilities for spacecraft, aircraft, maritime and land mobile applications. Some experience of commercial simulation software is desirable Experience in project management and industrial procurement Applicants must be eligible to security clearance by their national security administration.
