Sales Manager, SES Techcom Services Ref TEC0047 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES TechCom Category Sales Position Staff Published 20150714 Context SES TechCom is a Luxembourgbased subsidiary of SES. Levering on the technical expertise accumulated within the Group by operating satellites for more almost 30 years, it provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis. As Sales Manager within SES TechCom, you are responsible for various presales, sales and postsales activities. Projects acquisition will primarily be in the domain of satellite ground services in line with TechComs portfolio. More general, you will either be involved or lead through the process of acquisition of RFPs, the preparation and provision of proposals as well as the negotiation and the acquisition of contracts. In addition to that you will be responsible to commercialize TechComs range of existing and future products, such as ASTRAConnect, SatMed, Emergency.lu, SCADA M2M and many more and to manage existing customer relationships. Furthermore, you will have to supervise contract executions and will be in charge of contract management responsibilities as required. You will work together with various Engineering and Operations Departments in the various request for proposal phases from a vendor as well as from a customer perspective. In this position you will manage customer relationship as well as project subcontractors. You should also be able and willing to work autonomously and partially in remote locations. Responsibilities Promote the TechCom products and services in the market, and coordinate the related marketing support as required. Proactively liaise, coordinate and support SES Sales and Sales Engineering function in order to identify and acquire joint opportunities. Prepare and provide technical and commercial proposals as requested. Lead Contract Negotiations with customers. Ensure Quality of Services to the customers as delivered by the TechCom personnel andor the SES personnel. Establish and exploit, on a nonexclusive basis, relationships with relevant industry stakeholders with the aim of providing customer support services. Identification and selfdependent acquisition of new customers Solution orientated consulting of prospects Substantial increase of customer base Qualification of business opportunities and tenders Commercial development of customer base in coordination with Account Management Qualify customers, issue proposals, followup and execute contract closure in a timely manner Coordination and functional lead of cross departmental and cross entity deal teams Proactive and continuous screening of the competitive environment and feedback to peer departments Analyze the respective domestic markets regarding the Techcom portfolio fit and how to implement adequate services into the markets. Travel as required. Ensure workflow of information among internal customers. Support the Preparation of the annual TechCom Operating Expenses budget. Meet exceed defined personal financial objectives and support TechCom to exceed revenue and growth objectives. Provide effective communication workflow of information. Experience Qualifications Have a university degree in RF, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, space physics or equivalent andor a MBA or equivalent Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the Satellite OperationsTelecommunications Industry either in a more ground engineering or a more satellite engineering domain Alternatively minimum 5 years experience in a technology driven commercial environment with a proven track record on sales achievements Ability to negotiate and close deals for high value communications services Followup and develop Business plans for specific projects andor entities Effective communication and persuasion skills, both verbal and written Excellent team work and crossfunctional cooperation Proactive approach towards potential customers Identify and followup sales opportunities Excellent project management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and readiness to travel Have the skills to prepare technical and commercial proposals in cooperation with engineeringoperations personnel negotiate deals for services and products Fluency in English Fluency in French highly desirable any other language is considered an asset Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
