(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics has presented its new Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 smartphones, its slimmest to date. Both the A5 and A3 will sport full metal unibody designs that are 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm thin respectively, and come in a variety of colours, including Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold. The phones sport a 5MP front-facing camera and innovative photo-taking features, with LTE Category 4, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a Super AMOLED display and Adaptive Display technology, Android 4.4 (KitKat), a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor, and the usual popular Galaxy features such as Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen, as well as adjustable audio which intelligently adapts and enhances sound output based on the user's surrounding environment. The A5 has a 5-inch screen, a rear 13 MP camera and a 2300 mAH battery while the the A3 has an 8 MP rear camera, a 4.5 inch screen and a 1900 mAH battery. The A5 weighs 123 g while the A3 weighs 110.3 g. Both smartphones give 16 GB of internal memory, extendable to 64 GB with a micro SD slot. Samsung said the smartphones will launch in select markets including China starting from November.
