Telespazio Belgium is currently looking for a Satellite and Ground Segment Space Operations Engineer to support currently implemented following the operational concepts applied to the small satellites operated in ESEC. What is expected from you Perform first and second level hardware maintenance for Small satellites Operations ground segment facilities Support monitoring and risk management based on maintaining a risk log register up to date, Monitor the completeness, correctness and timeliness of all deliverables, Issue reports to ESA, Interface to ESA, Coordinate all Redu1TTCF5 Maintenance and operation activities, Participate in progress meetings, Participate in external meetings when required, Participate in the quality audit, Follow up action items, Anomaly reporting, as part of the monthly report, Guarantee the provision of support on time and with the level of quality agreed with ESA, Generate and maintain up to date the documentation referring to Redu1TTCF5 Maintenance and operation activities according to clients requirement specifications, Interface to and monitoring of service provided as part of Facility Management support Provide first level maintenance Provide troubleshooting support on request of Communication Facilities Services ESOC second level coms e.g. basic visual device status check, manual device reboot, connect the analyser to network and provide log files to CFS. Note Communications are monitored by NOC Investigate, logreport system problems, test and take action to correct the Participate in communication tests and report on relevant results Provide the technical interface with external people Provide first level maintenance of the intercom system. Analyse anomalies and inform the relevant service Initiate calls to TPP as required. ISDN Liaison and coordination with ISDN supplier and act as relay between ESOC NOCCFS and the ISDN supplier Provide support to the users during operational activities Investigate, logreport system problems, test and take action to correct the situation or report the anomaly to the relevant department, and minimize system downtime What you offer Be eligible to obtain a Personal Security Clearance up to ESA SECRET and equivalent, which will be requested by the Agency, having such clearence would be a plus Relevant Experience of minimum 4 Years Technical degree Bsc, Diploma or equivalent from a recognised Institution or equivalent Fluent in English, both in speech and writing. Other ESA language skills would be a plus Ability and availability to travel. Work Hours flexibility Good interpersonal skills Maintain a close contact with the mission teams to ensure total visibility of changes for the REDU systems on software and hardware Supervise, control and check the maintenance tasks carried out by external maintenance service suppliers Show a proactive attitude, foreseeing potential future problems or requirements and advising the relevant responsible team on the precautions or developments to be undertaken Proficient with anomalies investigation and Resolution, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on Redu1 System Knowledge, UnixLinux, Database management oracleMySQLSQL, Backup and archive management, switches and firewall, anomalies investigation and Resolutions Knowledgeable in Preventive and corrective Maintenance on the Ground segment, Electronics, RF measurements and equipment monitoring, LNA and HPA systems, Document Management System ESA, ESA Anomaly Reporting System ARTS, Support to Internal External Audit, Process, Productivity Quality Improvement, Team Managment Familiar with Ground stations knowledge, Management of calibration processes, Measurement techniques and equipment knowledge, Intercom and network Knowledge What we offer A competitive salary Hybrid working scheme 3 days in the office and 2 days remote Flexible working hours, you are in charge of your own agenda A career development Coursera membership training budget A 40hour working week A travel allowance A good relocation package Where You will be working within ESEC, the European Space Agencys offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium.
