One of our clients is looking for a permanent engineer to work as the lead Structural Engineer on their Space Projects. This role requires an engineer with several years in Space structural design, analysis and validation of related satellite technology. Job Description Responsible for structural design, analysis and validation of a satellite instrument structure Perform the overall structural system engineering, to interact with the external partners for example manufacturers or testing facilities and guide internal structural engineers Perform structural analyses including prediction of dynamic behavior, sine, acoustic, random and shock loads, responses and stresses Perform micro vibrations analyses and verification Support the test campaigns as well as preparation of the test predictions and derivation of notches during the test campaigns Correlate the FEMmodels based on test results Produce a structural analysis report Define workmanship tests as necessary Predict the instrument optomechanical performance due to mechanical and thermal loads Your Qualifications A degree in engineering with a major in mechanical engineering or comparable qualifications Several years of professional experience in structural verifications, ideally in the area of satelliteinstrument technology Profound structural design experience in space structures Experience in CFRP sandwich structures Nastran and Hypermesh experience Thermal design experience and optomechanical experience Experience in VAOne vibroacousticsimulation andor Matlab will be an advantage Microvibrations experience Fluency in spoken and written English and German
