For current and future missions supported by our PLENITER software suite we are looking for our Headquarters in Bochum for a Specialist Space Mission Operations . Tasks Main responsibilities You coordinate and support the Operations Preparation team for the following typical mission operations preparation tasks Review and refinement of the mission analysis and other relevant documentation generated during preceding phases Elaboration of the mission operations concepts and plans Missionspecific configuration and adaptation of the ground System Development and validation of endtoend space and ground procedures for LEOP, IOT and routine operations You prepare training material and provide training to other members of the operations team You prepare and support system validation activities as simulation campaigns, SVTs, mission rehearsals, etc. You elaborate advanced operational concepts by considering new technologies You specify technical change requests for our PLENITER Ground Software Suite You participate in technical meetings, formal reviews, and scheduling and planning meetings You support our Sales team and contribute to technical studies Essential requirements You have an university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline You have a demonstrated experience in the field of spacecraft operations preparation You like to act interdisciplinary between the ground segment system teams, the operations preparation team, the spacecraft manufacturers and the customers You are fluent in English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage. Technician Location Porto, Portugal Our Space Client based in Portugal is a leading midsized space company and central provider of lightweight structures composite and metal, deployable structures, thermal hardware like MLI multilayer insulations and reentry technology and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment MGSE mainly for space applications. Flight hardware is already onboard a telecommunication mission AlphaSat, a VEGAlauncher, and on the Mars Orbiter ExoMars 2016. They are currently involved in developments for more than ten further missions including MLI flying to Jupiter and a structural assembly for an instrument onboard the International Space Station ISS. Our Client is responsible for design, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, test and integration of related hardware. With its outstanding engineering capacities, highest flexibility and customer orientation, the client is one of the fastest growing technology drivers in the European SME industry. Due to their rapid growth and in the light of current and coming projects on composite materials and metal assemblies for flight missions, the client is seeking to expand their MLI manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing, bonding processes and metal assemblies for flight missions, the client wants to enlarge its Technician Team by two technicians. Consequently we are searching for excellence with the following profile Job Profile Being a Technician, it is expected that the candidate presents a good handson mentality, a precise workmanship and mechanical skills and accuracy. The jobs offered are different in terms of focus one Technician will be more dedicated to metal and composite hardware, the other Technician more to textile hardware like our multilayer insulation MLI. Nevertheless, both Technicians shall be flexible to operate in both domains. The Technicians will be mainly responsible for Manufacturing and assemble products e.g. MLI, metal and composite structures in compliance with manufacturing orders, work instructions and respective documents materials, layups, dimensions, cleanliness Maintain cleanliness during hisher work and by entering the cleanroom Reports to MAIVT manager of a project Reports to hisher Section Head Reporting of any nonconformance identified to Section Head and Project PA Close and shut down of cleanroom according checklist and or rules, if leaving as last staff member. The main characteristics of the job include the following Main Tasks Work preparation Perform MLI workmanship tasks cutting, assembling, sewing, packing, Perform mechanical assembly work bolting, sanding, assembling, bonding Perform composites production layup, sanding, resin preparation Participationsupport into system integration and verification tasks Travel for brief periods days, max. 12 weeks. Main Skills required Likes to work according to written procedures and work instruction Likes to work in a small team Work under pressure Be organized Tidy. Applicants should have as a minimum Justification of excellent workmanship performed in the past High education MS office SW tools minimum MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point. Autonomous working approach, accurate working results Loyalty, team spirit and reliability. The following are not essential but would be considered advantageous 2 years or more of relevant experience with workmanship Passed 12 year of school Knowledge in aeronautics or space hardware and respective environmental requirements Knowledge in sewing similar activity to parts of MLI manufacturing Worked already under clean environment Knowledge in English readingwritingspeaking.

Our Space Client based in Germany is seeking a System Engineer to support the Copernicus Programme and in particular to DIAS Data and Information Access Services activities within the Data Services Competence area in relation to already existing frame contracts with industry for its implementation. The closing date for applications is 09.02.18. The following main tasks shall be performed Contributing to the analysis, generation and management of requirements and related Agile methods applied for work execution with industry Contributing to the architecture and design of Copernicus related components Contributing with the review of industry implementations and perform testingprototyping Contributing to the definition of technical interfaces with the external partners and service providers Preparation of relevant documentation Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. Skills The key persons shall have a minimum of five years of experience in the specific field of system engineering, such as user requirements assessment, system architecture definition, development activities and experience of being directly involved in the evolution of systems or services in a highlyavailable 247 environment. The following skills and experiences are mandatory Systems architecture covering areas such as virtualization, cloud computing, orchestration, hosted processing, EO data access formats and security Working experience with industry standards for interoperability OGC, Inspire Solid Background in software engineering, development In depth knowledge of scripting languages Python Demonstrated experience in writing of formal technical documentation Have demonstrated excellent communication and team working skills Have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and obtain a system overview. Working knowledge and experience in the following areas would be considered as assets Jupyter Notebook R language knowledge of system validation and verification Experience in a usercustomer facing environment.
