Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has purchased engineering and facility equipment from Applied Materials, Fu Tsu Construction and Tokyo Electron for a total of about NT$2.01 billion , according to filings issued by the pure-play foundry with the Taiwan Stock Exchange on April 11 and 12. TSMC said in filings on April 6 and 7 it spent a total of NT$5.13 billion on fab tools and facilities from Applied Materials, Chenfull International, Hitachi High-Technologies, Lam Research International and Screen Semiconductor Solutions. In a filing on April 1, TSMC disclosed the purchase of NT$17.135 billion worth of equipment from ASML, Ebara and KLA-Tencor.
