These 2 N.J. companies hold $50B in offshore tax havens, study claims

Two New Jersey-based companies and one with a large footprint in the state have a total of $57 billion in tax havens, which helped saved the companies billions in income taxes over six years, according to a recent report. The report by the anti-poverty charity Oxfam claims that 50 of the top U.S. corporations, companies that receive trillions in taxpayer funds, stashed more than $1.4 trillion in off-shore accounts, contributing to creating a lower corporate tax rate, according to income tax records gathered by the group .
