U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

2018-11-05 19:24:08| EmergingTextiles.com

US apparel imports have surprisingly rebounded in September over a sudden recovery of Chinese shipments in volume, but also in value terms. Imports from Vietnam have even surged in September, after having slowed down in the past months. The September's recovery has helped three quarter data slightly taking off, also reflecting a rise of unit prices this year. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2018 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW) and vs Vietnam.
