Second-quarter earnings for the retail sector as a whole are forecast to be lower than the prior month, despite easy year-on-year comparisons. Oxford Industries raised its full-year outlook despite swinging to a loss, Sears Canada returned to profit, G-III Apparel Group upped its full-year earnings guidance after more than doubling its second-quarter net profit, and Shoe Carnival booked an 84.6% jump in profit.
