(Telecompaper) ZTE announced the new Blade D6 smartphones and its first smart home gateway, the ZTE SmartHome, at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai. The ZTE SmartHome enables users to communicate with everyday home devices from light switches to baby monitors via the ZigBee wireless protocol, as well as LTE connections. A mobile application for smartphones and tablets allows control over a broad range of smart home devices, covering home management, home security, and health and safety. The modem-like device also supports Wi-Fi and WAN/LAN connections. The Blade D6 is a new sllim, lightweight phone with 5-inch HD screen and aluminum alloy body. It runs a quad-core 1.3GHz chipset, 2GB of RAM and Android 5.0 with the latest rendition of ZTE's user interface, MiFavor 3.2. The Blade D6 features an 88-degree wide-angle 5 megapixel front camera and 13 megapixel rear camera with True Tone flash. A unique feature to the ZTE Blade D6 is its '3 in 2' tray holder that can accommodate a micro SIM, as well as either an additional nano SIM or a micro SD card. Over the next few months, the Blade D6 will launch in four colours pink, gold, grey and silver, across markets such as Australia, Russia and Japan.
