Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting Consolidation Luxembourg Betzdorf You will be hired to support the Financial Reporting team. You will be a key contributor at the group level to the monthly closing process, both in carrying out group level consolidation and also in advising and supporting Finance colleagues worldwide. You will be involved in tasks and projects under the supervision of the Team Leader, Financial Reporting, including groupwide system upgrades and process transitions and you will be involved in the analysis of the financial results of the group. You will autonomously resolve operational matters arising during the closing, unless they are of significance where guidance is needed from the Team Leader, Financial Reporting. Your responsibilities Prepare and execute monthly consolidations under IFRS in SAP BPC Resolve problemsirregularities in the closing process through clear communication with, and coordination of, team members across the group including Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and the Natural Business Units Fully manage the intercompany reconciliation process Post standard monthly consolidation journals in SAP BPC Go through standard monthly quality checklists and perform overall result analysis, identifying issues and following up where necessary with Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, NBUs to verify figures Assist in generating both internal and external reporting, including the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements Work with the Tax department in the coordination of the complex tax accounting processes ensuring that all necessary steps are performed and all stakeholders follow the agreed processes Make proposals, and implement where appropriate, developments to accounting andor reporting processes and systems to strengthen quality framework Maintain up to date IFRS knowledge including ensuring understanding of new and upcoming standards Competencies Ability to plan own time carefully and to prioritise The ability to communicate, and guide, clearly in an international environment A good technical understanding of accounting and consolidation under IFRS Strong analytical skills and care in understanding and checking information Ability to handle pressure and the flexibility to be available at peak pressure moments Your Experience Qualifications Qualified accountant ACCA or equivalent, preferably with a Big 4 background Experience with running, or auditing, international multicurrency full legal consolidations A solid technical basis in IFRS Experience of tax accounting and disclosures in an international group preferred Minimum five years of relevant working experience Fluency in English, both oral and written. Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting Luxembourg Betzdorf You will be responsible for the financial recordkeeping of SES S.A., the listed parent company of the SES group and potentially also other special purpose corporate entities. You will ensure that internal financial reporting processes, primarily the monthly closing, are completed on a timely basis and with the required level of quality, as well as drafting annual financial statements for audit and addressing any other regulatory reporting obligations. Additionally you will be responsible for monitoring the consolidated net financing charges of the SES group, including specifically net foreign exchange exposures, and developing strategies together with the Treasury and Tax departments to mitigate any such risks identified. You will also take part in, or lead, other aspects of the groups financial reporting processes. Your responsibilities Perform financial recordkeeping for the assigned corporate entities, generally the posting of journal entries and generating reconciliations to support the monthly general ledger close, and associated monthly procedures, both under the local GAAPs as well as under IFRS for grouplevel reporting. Resolve issues in the closing process through clear communication with team members across the group, including Tax and Treasury, as necessary. Prepare the annual accounts of SES S.A. and address external auditor requests arising during the biannual audit process. Assist with the drafting sections of the SES consolidated financial statements as required. Generate monthly analyses of the net financing charges of the group primarily interest charges, capitalised interest, and net foreign exchange charges. In close cooperation with Treasury and Tax, identify any potential exposures and develop mitigation strategies, for example hedging, to manage them. Your competencies A combination of expertise is required in SAP standard general ledger procedures plus in Treasury Management operations and an advanced technical basis in the regulatory framework for recording financial operations under both Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS. Good understanding of holding company accounting issues such as external borrowings and derivatives, as well as intercompany financing structures such as cash pooling and centralised inhouse treasury operations. Ability to communicate clearly, and resolve issues promptly, in an international environment. Strong analytical skills and care in understanding and checking information. Personal skills in establishing priorities, seeking guidance where needed, and offering a certain flexibility to be available at peak pressure moments. Your Qualifications Experience Qualified accountant ACCA or equivalent, preferably with a Big 4 background A solid technical basis in Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS, especially in the area of financial instruments Direct handson SAP experience, including SAP Treasury Management, a significant advantage Minimum five years of relevant working experience Fluency in English, both oral and written. Junior Analyst, Financial Control fixedterm Luxembourg Betzdorf You will be hired for 12 months as part of the Financial Control and Budget Management FCBM team, where you will actively contribute to an effective control environment, monitoring and reporting operating expenses and nonsatellite capital expenditures, developing the companys internal control framework and tools and performing regular controlling activities to enhance the control environment of SES.
