Senior Analyst, Revenue Planning and Analysis Ref SES0821 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Finance Accounting Position Staff Published 20160525 Context Within the Finance Support to Infrastructure Business, the incumbent is responsible for planning managing the consolidated SES Revenue planning activities and supporting the consolidated SES Revenue reporting and analysis activities as well as support other tasks projects as required. Responsibilities Lead the planning coordination of periodic Consolidated SES Revenue forecasts, budgets business plans in close cooperation with the Commercial Sales Planning Operations, Regional Finance Directors and Financial Planning Analysis teams. Prepare and lead the periodic revenue planning review meetings and discussions with the different regionsverticals, challenging the regional Sales and Finance leaders on their submissions Proactively analyse and assess the draft revenue plans and identify trends, gaps, inconsistencies etc. and ensure such points are communicated and addressed in the final revenue plans Establish overall planning calendar, planning approach and rolesresponsibilities Maintain and develop the revenue planning tools, models and consolidated database in both SAP BI and Excel Continue to improve overall quality of the database and planning tools Provide overall insights and analysis on the SES consolidated revenue development Provide revenue planning analysis advice to CFO and CCO as part of their interface with the Commercial teams Lead the SES Group revenue related working capital planning process Identify and understand SES Group cash collection gap to Budget on a monthly basis Support the Accounting team in ensuring that SES Group revenue working capital is correctly reflected Lead and manage SES Group cash collection planning for Business Plan, Budget and Forecasts Lead on revenue related working capital part in the monthly review of the cash flow forecast with CFO Lead and manage statutory revenue planning in BPC to ensure accurate tax planning Lead and ensure accuracy of SES Group statutory revenue planning by entity in BPC for Business Plan, Budget and Forecasts Manage and coordinate requests from Tax team on SES Group statutory revenue planning Prepare and present management and SES Board presentations related to above tasks as required Develop revenue presentation materials for key planning activities Budget, Business Plan, Forecast for both the SES EC and BoD Support the consolidated SES monthly revenue reporting and analysis. The revenue reporting and analysis is used for internal management reporting and regional segmentation, SES BoD reporting and for SES External results publication. Conduct indepth analysis and reporting of key revenue trends as part of the monthly Operations Review and SES BoD reporting packages Works closely with FPA to enhance financial reporting by creating new analyses e.g. profitability Support in providing the CFO and Investor Relations with revenue and pricing analysis for the quarterly and annual external financial reporting Support preparation of management and SES Board presentations SES monthly revenue reporting and analysis as required Experience Qualifications Be a Finance graduate, qualified chartered accountant or MBA At least 7 years of Financial Planning Analysis Corporate Finance or similar experience in a multinational commercial environment, preferably in the Media Telecommunications sector and having dealt with related Commercial Sales operations already Proven experience of meeting tight deadlines while managing several tasks Expert computer literacy, experienced Excel user database SAP ECC BPC knowledge is an important asset Fluency in English. German andor French is an important asset Strong problem assessment and solving skills Demonstrated ability to manage projects and people Proactive, customerfocused can do approach, balanced with efficiency effectiveness needs Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel, strong computer literacy and SAP ECCBPC knowledge Willingness to further develop within the role and overall function department Ability to work autonomously with limited interaction with guidance by managers as well as in a team also made up by members from several functions Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage mitigate conflicting interests priorities and to interface and build relationships with all levels of the organisation, including senior management Good understanding of the revenue generating activities of the different verticals, regions, products, entities that comprise the SES business Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits. Analyst, Spacecraft Operations Ref SES0807 Region Europe Location Isle of Man Douglas Company SES Category Space Operations Position Staff Published 20160513 Context The Analyst, Spacecraft Operations is responsible for the operation of the backup Satellite Operations Centre SOC located at SES Satellite Leasing in the Isle of Man. Heshe will perform the orbital control of some satellites as well as coordinate the flyby of other satellites through SES fleet windows. Heshe must therefore have good knowledge as a technologist to understand the functioning of the satellites and the Satellite Control Facilities. As part of the newly developed SOC, the analyst will work closely with hisher peers located at the SES Head office in Betzdorf, Luxembourg. Responsibilities Operate backup SOC located at SES Satellite Leasing and in particular lead the following activities Ensure operability and updates of Spacecraft Operations SOC Lead investigation of SOC related issues Develop operational procedures of the SOC Liaise with Earth Station Engineering to ensure a safe operational configuration of all TTC stations Ensure availability of satellite telemetry and command capability Develop schedules, logs, forms, charts, graphs and other devices designed to provide thorough records Monitor the security of all Satellite Operations Systems at all SES locations using a security configuration management system and reportescalate any issue to Software Engineering Coordinate Flyby of other satellites through SES fleet windows.
