The J.M. Smucker Co., the Orrville-headquartered food and pet food company, [NYSE: SJM] said after the market closed at 4 p.m. Monday that Mark T. Smucker, the fifth generation of the company's founding family, has been appointed president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Richard K. Smucker, who has served as CEO since 2011 and co-chief executive officer since 2001.
