JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The candidate will be part of the GMV satellite control centre SW development team. Heshe will be involved in the preparation of proposals, design and development of GMV commercial SW for payload management tools for different customers. The candidate should have knowledge on satellite communications link budget, DVBS2, HPA, etc. Heshe should have certain experience programming in Java. Heshe will participate in preparation of proposals in the whole SW development process, including design, implementation and validation phases and in training and supports to the Customers Qualifications Telecommunications Engineer . ISS Payload Operations Ground Segment Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Ground Segment Maintenance and Operations team, you will have the following responsibilities Participation in reviews of payloads under development with major GS implications and follow up of the implementation of new components of the USOC Ground Infrastructure Support to feasibility assessments, payload testing Identification of GS changes for new payloads and experiments Interpretation of the Increment Requirements Document into implementable tasks GS integrated schedule maintenance for ground segment related aspects Provide support to the CoFR process by checking CoFR certificates for completeness and consistency Support the daytoday management of the USOC contracts, with particulars emphasis on ground segment aspects Organisation of the process and the reviews leading to USOC Infrastructure Readiness Review and provision of comments to Ground Segment PIRNs on ICDs between the USOCs and ColCC and Management of development and maintenance of USOC ICD with external User sites e.g. UHB Follow up with the performance of ground operations during routine operations identification of problems and support to the specification of corrective actions Coordination and Support to USOC Operational readiness Tests Monitoring of USOC implementation, configuration status and documentation progress for GS matters. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant engineering discipline Several years relevant professional experience Good knowledge of the international Space Station Programme Good knowledge of Ground Segment processes and system for spaceflight Experience in the area of GS development and maintenance Knowledge of Payload Operations in Columbus and in other segments of the ISS Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
