Balch Conduit Support Sewer Replacement Project Update: February 4, 2016

Crews are almost finished installing the new sewer and manholes. There is still some work over the next couple of months to complete the project, including the final trench paving and street restoration. There has been some delay due to the weather, but crews are expected to finish by the end of March.

Sellwood-Moreland Sewer Rehab Project Construction Update: February 2, 2016

Environmental Services is repairing or replacing about 25,000 feet of public sewer pipes in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood that are between 80 and 100 years old and deteriorating due to age. This project will help protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of costly breaks, leaks, blockages and sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

NW District Sewer Replacement Project - Proposed Change Noise Variance

Environmental Services has completed design of a project to replace about 8,000 feet of sewer pipe that is in poor condition. The pipes range in size from eight to 36 inches. The project will increase sewer system capacity and help prevent sewer backups in basements. The project is anticipated to start this summer and the entire project timeline is 18 months.

Hollywood/Grant Park Sewer & Stormwater Project Update

The maps posted at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/article/552546 show the anticipated construction schedule for the next three weeks and through March. Work in each area will take a few weeks to complete and there may be periods of inactivity between construction phases. The contractor will apply temporary pavement after completing pipe installation in all work areas. Final trench paving and restoration will take place at a later time as weather allows.
