USTelecom and its key members AT&T and CenturyLink have filed a petition asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to stay the FCC's Open Internet order. Joining USTelecom, AT&T and CenturyLink in the joint motion filing are the National Cable & Telecommunications Association , CTIA-The Wireless Association, American Cable Association and the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association .

Wynn Resorts and Las Vegas Sands have become the first resort companies to make a formal step toward cutting the cord with NV Energy and are attempting to purchase their own power. The Las Vegas Sun reports that the two companies filed applications of exit with the Public Utilities Commission and more companies are expected to follow suit.

Adjacent landowners of the Terex site in Sioux County file appeal

After the Terex decision by Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission , landowners within a half mile of the site were given the option to file an appeal within 30 days. Terex Corporation is planning on injecting wastewater in Sioux County from fracking operations, the site will receive waste up to 80 trucks a day.
Environmental groups file briefs to appeal Cadiz water project

Three conservation groups filed their opening briefs in an appeal to block Los Angeles-based Cadiz Inc. from pumping Mojave Desert water and shipping much of it out of San Bernardino County to meet the needs of South Orange County residents. Last year, six Orange County Superior Court judgements upheld various governmental approvals and environmental reviews of the project which involves the pumping of 16 million gallons of Mojave Desert land for up to 50 years.
