Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co , the world's largest contract chipmaker and supplier to Apple Inc, said some wafers made in Tainan had been damaged, affecting no more than 1 percent of first-quarter shipments. Previous reports revealed 462 people were injured in the quake and over 170 still unaccounted for.
