Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc., the gift-card and payment services majority-owned subsidiary of grocer Safeway Inc., has announced that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of Blackhawk's Class A common stock. The IPO will consist solely of shares to be offered by existing stockholders, including Safeway Inc. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

Profits soar at Hartlepool's Stadium

HARTLEPOOL technology company Stadium Group has reported soaring profits in its annual results driven by strong growth in the higher margin technology products and operational efficiencies. The global group, which designs and makes specialist equipment including vehicle control panels, wireless devices and electronic displays, said pre-tax profit was A 1.78m compared with A 430,000 in the previous year, grew normalised profit before tax by 45 per cent, from A 1.9m in 2013 to A 2.7m, while revenues dipped slightly to A 41.7m, compared to A 42.2m the year before.
