6 charged with interfering with crew after diverted flight

Authorities charged six Southwest Airlines passengers with interference with a flight crew Tuesday after they refused flight attendants' orders and crew members asked pilots to divert the flight to Amarillo for safety reasons. The six men are listed as Saiman Hermez, 19; Wasim Imad Shaker, 23; Khalid Yohana, 19; Jonathan Khalid Petras, 20; Ghazwan Assad Shaba, 21; and Essa Solaqa, 20; all from the San Diego area.

Members of the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch ) arrested and charged two used car dealers for the offence of fraudulent conversion on Tuesday. They are 39-year-old Mark Robinson of Carlton Avenue and 41-year-old Natalie Billings of West Oakridge, both in Kingston 8. Reports are that in August 2013, the complainant entrusted an automobile company, located in the Kingston 8 area, owned by Robinson and Billings with a Honda motorcar, to be sold on his behalf.

Verizon customer charged $1,500 for nonexistent POTS line

A Verizon customer is going to receive a $1,500 refund from the telco after it charged every month for over five years for a POTS line that she thought she cancelled. Lauraine Hollyer, according to a report in NJ.com , asked Verizon to turn off the landline voice service in 2000.
