San Gabriel Valley council removes funding from 710 extension
2015-08-26 02:54:12| Railroads - Topix.net
The following projects and dollar amounts are requested for inclusion in a new transit sales tax measure proposed for November 2016: Just weeks after throwing its support behind a controversial 710 Freeway tunnel, the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments removed tunnel funding from a transportation priority list that could become part of a half-cent sales tax ballot measure in November 2016. A $3.3-billion transportation funding list was submitted by the SGVCOG to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Monday, shortly after the board accepted a request from the pro-tunnel coalition to remove $105 million in funding for a 4.9-mile underground tunnel between Alhambra and Pasadena.
