Earth Observation, Navigation and Science ENS UK for a Payload Data Handling MSC Major Space Component Leader working on the Exomars Rover project. This role is to be based in Stevenage. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Report to electrical lead on project, matters relating to the Onboard Computer, Mass Memory, and related electrical systems. Define and manage the architecture and specifications for equipment under hisher responsibility, derived from system level requirements. Support the electrical lead in reporting to project management and the customer by preparing presentations, flash report and financial reports. Manage the technical supplier interface by attending progress meetings, design review, test review boards etc. Provide updates to the system budgets, including mass and power consumption. Manage the customer technical interface. The successful candidate is likely to satisfy the following requirements Extensive experience of Spacecraft system level data handling subsystem architecture design and test in a Prime Contractor organisation. Demonstrate a firm understanding of Spacecraft electrical architectures. Demonstrate good time management and the ability to work concurrently on multiple projects. Experience of direct liaison, including presentations, with both Customers and suppliers. Familiarity with Nonconformance Reporting systems, RFDs RFWs. Ability to identify and mitigate risks. One of our clients based in the UK is currently looking for Optical Payload Production AIT Team Leader. Key Purpose Managing the production AIT team required to deliver Optical Payloads, including the operational facility, equipment, quality and all planning execution activities. Key Tasks Ensure effective plans and adequate resources are in place to deliver the production element of imager payloads to the appropriate quality level, within project budget and schedule constraints. Work closely with the optical payload design team leaders to advise, guide and concurrently implement the production aspects of the payload and ensure all facilities are in place on time. Line manage the production team ensuring there is a complete skill base and there are no single point failures. There should be a focus on continued development of employees to have a wide skill base and a skills matrix should be maintained. Provide documentation and present at design, test and project reviews for both internal and external audiences. Ensure companys engineering policies and practices are implemented on the project, define and maintain optical payload specific processes. Facilitate, schedule and budget for optical payload assembly. Oversee and maintain equipment such as TV chamber, CMM etc as well as the consumables, tidiness and safe working practices in the optical payload AIT clean room including calibration. Manage storage of MGSE and reliable EGSE equipment processes. Support of training programmes for both internal customer engineers. Own and maintain a department roadmap, thinking to future new techniques, developments and efficiencies. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Practical and proven handson abilities for both flight build as well as ground and development test activities. Good team working and management skills, together with the ability to interface with others at all levels. Attention to detail is paramount to ensuring that the finished subsystemssystems will function as designed. Good communication and presentation skills. Must be prepared to be flexible in terms of working hours including sometimes at weekends during peak periods both in the UK. Full, clean driving licence. Experience Experience of people management in a dynamic environment and being committed to their personal development needs. Experience working with spaceflight hardware, ideally on optical payloads in ISO class 5 clean rooms. Detailed test planning, scheduling and budgeting experience. Working with verification validation of requirements. Good general clean room facility operational background including equipments, e.g TV chamber, CMM, autocollimators. Hands on knowledge and experience of electrical, mechanical and optical test equipment usage. Qualifications Degree in engineering or science discipline.
