Considering the current and future programmes, SES seeks to reinforce its current teams. The mission will last 30 months. Responsibilities Ensure that the specification of each payload equipment unit is consistent with meeting the endtoend system performance and functional requirements Ensure that all payload unit, subsystem and system test procedures comply with the contractual requirements Participate in design, test readiness, material and failure review meetings at manufacturer sub and prime contractor facilities as needed Monitor flow of payload components thru build, test and integration into the next higher assembly Review and approve manufacturing and test documentation Monitor daily payload activities at spacecraft manufacturer facility, in coordination with coworkers in the field office Ensure that all payload non conformances and deviations are timely reviewed and assessed, by seeking concurrence from the line manager and from relevant experts within the Company Provide 247 on call support during payload system testing Support Launch Base Testing, Launch Day support, and Payload IOT testing. Experience Qualifications Master Degree or equivalent in ElectricalTelecommunication Engineering 710 years related work experience in RF engineering work, ideally in relation to spacecraft disciplines Understanding of payload architecture, design and manufacturing RF equipment, repeater and antenna subsystem Link budgets repeater RF performance measurement Integration and testing Quality control essentials Ability to work day to day issues with manufacturer and programme team Experience in spacecraft payload mission specification Experience in satellite payload operations Excellent communications skills both written and oral Negotiation skills, assertiveness Strong computer software skills Willingness to travel on a regular basis. Contribution to proposal writing and project reporting to national and international governmental and industrial clients. Profile Required A Master degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Physics, and a proven record in airborne andor space instrument system engineering. Good system level knowledge of remote sensing instrument technologies optical systems and filters, image sensors, camera systems, and calibrationvalidation methods. Takes ownership of the assigned responsibilities, steers the project, team workers, and partners in the right direction. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Openminded, creative and resilient to changing circumstances. Swift action to propose and negotiate solutions in case of issues. A very good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
