MultiIncrement Payload Planning Engineer

For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for a MultiIncrement Payload Planning Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The MultiIncrement Payload Planning Engineer shall perform the following main tasks Support to HDOICP in monthly review and extraction of discussion points from Payload Integration Manager reports and schedules in preparation for Integration Control Board Maintenance of the unallocated payload matrix Responsible for Cold Stowage planning, implementation, submittal and IP interface Support in the preparation of the integrated payload contribution to the Mission Impact SPRs Action Plan Collect payload resources table and maintain overall resource table at multiincrement level Support the ESA payload CoFR Support PIMs in generation of PTP tables and CEFs and review IDRD Annex 5 Support in developing IP agreements e.g. PIAs Integration of the PIM schedules inputs into an overall schedule and perform criticalityrisk analysis Support ESA in adhoc multilateral integration meetings telecons. Requirements A university degree MSc or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science biology, medicine, physics, chemistry discipline Demonstrated widespread experience in aerospace or human spaceflight activities management, including development, integration an onorbit operations activities of complex payloads A proven experience in interfacing with partners in an international environment is an asset A strong aptitude for relationship management as well as good communication skills The post requires a resultorientated approach to work in a highly complex project environment A strong capacity for planning and organising tasks Fluency in English is required, knowledge of another ESA member state language and or Russian is an asset Strong experience and a deep level of expertise working with the following payloads Airway Monitoring, PPFS, Circadian Rhythms, PFS, Energy, Ared Kinematics, MARES, SARCOLAB3, Patterns, HAPTICS1. Knowledge of satellite production environments and test methods would be desirable. Detailed knowledge of RF systems, key parameters, design drivers and anomaly investigations. An understanding of the effects of RF chain signal generation, frequency conversion, HPA, filters and passives on signal distortions and performance would be desirable. Experience of high accuracy clock design, operation and performance drivers would be an advantageous. Knowledge and Skills Good allround knowledge of RF systems along with Matlab processing and data analysis skills is highly desirable. Excellent customer and supplier interfacing skills are essential for the role Understanding of satellite navigation modulation schemes would be preferable. General understanding of GNSSGPS Galileo Essential Attributes Selfdriven approach and ability to work with minimal direction Ability to work directly with clients, internal and external, at all levels, and to present results, solutions and justifications with authority Have a flexible, methodical approach to work, combined with drive and determination to complete activities whilst under pressure Demonstrable attention to detail in ensuring that the system will function as designed Excellent team working skills, together with the ability to interface with others at all levels Excellent written oral communication and presentation skills Flexibility, and the ability to travel if required may be necessary to support offsite test campaigns and meetings
