Japanese businesses now employ 71K workers in Ohio

The Consulate General of Japan in Detroit released its annual survey of employment by Japanese companies in the state. Those businesses added 1,464 workers in 2014 versus the previous year, bringing Ohio employment to 70,985 across 422 facilities as of Oct. 1. Roughly 60 percent of those jobs are in manufacturing with 51 percent of that being the automotive sector.
