We are currently looking for a Galileo Software Support Technician Start date As soon as possible Location Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany Required skills Experience in system administration SWHW support capability Ability to understand complex IT environments Know how of security key environments System knowhow of Linux Suse, Red Hat and Windows Knowledge of the Galileo system and project advantageous Good team working and communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English German would be an asset Key tasks and responsibilities Active controlling of HWSW upgrades of GCS Galileo Control Segment and GMS Galileo Mission Segment system and element deplayers Monitoring of system workload Level 1 troubleshooting in the frame of IT Operation Services to guarantee SW system operability Validation and maintenance of SW support procedures Regular backups and check of antivirus of operational IT systems Maintenance of IT systems provided by ESA incl. Job description The tasks to be performed by the consultant will include Maintenance and development of the asbuilt software build environments Building, packaging and distribution of software and data releases and patches Support to developers with respect to build and versioning strategies Support the delivery of software externally developed its installation, configuration and testing Investigation into anomalies, their documentation and classification Follow up of the delivery of SW corrections Participation in technical meetings and formal reviews Analysis of the maintenance requirements and identification, procurement or implementation of the tools to fulfil them writing of maintenance procedures Technical interfacing with external contractors who are providing maintenance services for ground segment facilities. The key person shall have skills and experience in the following mandatory areas minimum 5 years for each 1.
