We need an engineer to define and implement system and contingency operations procedures so that we can successfully deliver our services The Role We are looking for an engineer with experience of ground segment systems operations and upgrades, preferably in Earth Observation systems, in a 247 operational environment. This is a challenging role as you will coordinate the definition, processing and implementation of modifications to operational ground systems and its infrastructure, including control and engineering rooms across Europe. You will be responsible for defining, validating and maintaining contingency procedures for our operations, not only for routine modifications, but also in emergency systems. As the primary point of contact, you need outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to analyse and synthesise complex data, possibly when under immense pressure. This role allows you the opportunity to work on strategic business continuity management processes for future missions, along with the ability to participate in functional verification and validation of system upgrades and evolutions of our current operations. You will bring your knowledge of managing operations in a contingency or emergency situation and have the motivation to share this knowledge by training other members of the Operations Team.
