Specific Qualification Requirements General background in antenna technologies and experience in antenna testing preferably in the space domain Good working knowledge of Near and Far field antenna testing systems Capability for performing activities related to all aspects of testing and integration of antenna systems in an autonomous way General understanding of measurement uncertainty and accuracy Experience in maintenance and calibration of general RF antenna laboratory test equipment and instrumentation Good working knowledge on antenna systems and design approaches Good working knowledge on latest antenna design and modelling software tools Experience with handling of space hardware is considered an asset Proactive attitude to solving problems Good organisational skills. Contract The selected candidate will receive a permanent contract with Altran Netherlands and a fair remuneration in line with ESA Job Class. For our customer in Darmstadt we are looking for a Data Processing System Engineer to support current and future Earth observation missions. Our customer EUMETSAT is an independent intergovernmental organisation founded in 1986 to establish maintain and exploit European systems of operational meteorological satellites and to contribute to the operational monitoring of the climate and the detection of global climate changes. A further objective of EUMETSAT is to provide data, products and support services to the European Copernicus information services and user communities, with a focus on marine, atmosphere and climate. EUMETSAT is governed by a Council representing 30 Member States and 1 Cooperating State. The EUMETSAT Technical and Scientific Support Department TSS provides support to operations of existing satellite systems and to the development of new programmes. Currently EUMETSAT operates the Meteosat Second Generation MSG, the EUMETSAT Polar System EPS and the Copernicus Sentinel 3 space and ground satellite systems. In addition, EUMETSAT is contributing to the operation of a number of other missions, such as JASON, and some other 3rd Party Missions. The focus of routine operations at EUMETSAT is the provision, by effective utilisation of all elements of the space and ground systems, of timely and reliable operational services to the users. For the future, several new missions are in preparation such as Meteosat Third Generation MTG, EPS Second Generation EPS SG, Sentinels follow on and others. Within the System Engineering and Projects Division SEP of the Technical and Scientific Support Department TSS, the Contractor will provide services to the Data Processing Systems and Applications Competence area supporting the Data Processing and System Engineering activities of the EUMETSAT ground segments in development andor under operations.
