The candidate we are looking for will operate as Antenna SubMillimetre Waves Engineer in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality area, under the TECEFA Antennae Submm Waves Section. HisHer duty station will be the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Main duties will include Supporting the Antenna Test campaigns within the ESTEC Antenna Measurement Laboratory, including test definition, test execution and delivery of datatest report to the customer Perform testing activities in Spherical, Planar, Cylindrical Near Field, Compact Range and Material RF Characterisation facilities, including test plans and test setup preparation, operation of the test ranges and analysis of test results Perform research testing activities that challenge the current stateoftheart in space antenna measurements, aiming at enabling new testing capability and fulfil the needs of future ESA space missions in all space applications Earth Observation, Navigation, Science, Telecommunications, Human Space Flight and Space Transportation Support the Antenna Measurement Laboratory Maintenance and Equipment Calibration activities Support to Antenna Design and Modelling activities Handson antenna modelling support to projects. Specific Qualification Requirements General background in antenna technologies and experience in antenna testing preferably in the space domain Good working knowledge of Near and Far field antenna testing systems Capability for performing activities related to all aspects of testing and integration of antenna systems in an autonomous way General understanding of measurement uncertainty and accuracy Experience in maintenance and calibration of general RF antenna laboratory test equipment and instrumentation Good working knowledge on antenna systems and design approaches Good working knowledge on latest antenna design and modelling software tools Experience with handling of space hardware is considered an asset Proactive attitude to solving problems Good organisational skills. Contract The selected candidate will receive a permanent contract with Altran Netherlands and a fair remuneration in line with ESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Data Processing Systems Engineer

For our customer in Darmstadt we are looking for a Data Processing System Engineer to support current and future Earth observation missions. Our customer EUMETSAT is an independent intergovernmental organisation founded in 1986 to establish maintain and exploit European systems of operational meteorological satellites and to contribute to the operational monitoring of the climate and the detection of global climate changes. A further objective of EUMETSAT is to provide data, products and support services to the European Copernicus information services and user communities, with a focus on marine, atmosphere and climate. EUMETSAT is governed by a Council representing 30 Member States and 1 Cooperating State. The EUMETSAT Technical and Scientific Support Department TSS provides support to operations of existing satellite systems and to the development of new programmes. Currently EUMETSAT operates the Meteosat Second Generation MSG, the EUMETSAT Polar System EPS and the Copernicus Sentinel 3 space and ground satellite systems. In addition, EUMETSAT is contributing to the operation of a number of other missions, such as JASON, and some other 3rd Party Missions. The focus of routine operations at EUMETSAT is the provision, by effective utilisation of all elements of the space and ground systems, of timely and reliable operational services to the users. For the future, several new missions are in preparation such as Meteosat Third Generation MTG, EPS Second Generation EPS SG, Sentinels follow on and others. Within the System Engineering and Projects Division SEP of the Technical and Scientific Support Department TSS, the Contractor will provide services to the Data Processing Systems and Applications Competence area supporting the Data Processing and System Engineering activities of the EUMETSAT ground segments in development andor under operations. This includes data processing system engineering for supporting Integration, Verification Validation IVV activities at the level of test plan definition, test specification and test coordination. Tasks The task of the candidate shall be to support system engineering activities in the area of data processing. Relevant experience with L1L2 processing software for Earth Observation missions, either for operationsmaintenance or specification and development. Knowledge of the requirements engineering process, including relation between requirements, ICDs, design and testing documentation. Ability to learn and develop the needed skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of future earth observation missions. This includes the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary context in cooperation with other teams. The ability to maintain a system overview is essential.
