SW engineer computer scientist

We are looking for a software engineer computer scientist with 4 or more yrs experience in software integration, validation, testing, requirements engineering to work as a ground segment systems engineer. Experience with very large data distribution and archiving, monitoring tools, definition and formalisation of interfaces among complex systems is highly valued. Previous experience in the space industry and knowledge of ECSS standards is a plus. Pls apply by the 11th of October.

We are currently looking for a Thermal Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Technology Directorate at ESTEC , you will have the following responsibilities Provide support to the Agency in the thermal engineering design, analysis and verification area related to the sections thermal control activities Provide support to ESA projects, including CDF activities, interface with the project team, Interface with the industrial team, participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested by project work, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and discussions Support the thermal control activities project support and RD activities of the Section Build geometrical and thermal models, perform relevant analyses, evaluate critically the results and issue relevant documentation covering all work performed Support the maintenance and upgrading of thermal mathematical models Support thermal verification test campaigns for ongoing ESA projects by performingreviewing test procedures, test predictions and test correlations and attend the tests if required. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters degree in a relevant discipline Very good background and experience in thermal modelling and analysis as well as thermal spacecraft design and verification Very good background and knowledge of spacecraft system aspects Background and experience with the Agencys thermal analysis tools, e.g. ESATANTMS Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. ABOUT US The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. In this context, the Security Department proactively contributes to the fulfilment of GSA missions by providing the security expertise and support in order to 1 achieve successful security accreditation of the systems, 2 secure programmes implementation and exploitation and 3 ensure a wide, secure and sustainable use of the Public Regulated Service PRS. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The GNSS Site Security Engineer will actively contribute to the fulfilment of the Agencys duties related to the following main areas Security support to the preparation of the security accreditation files for Galileo services, system and sites Security engineering support to exploitation activities of Galileo Hisher main tasks and responsibilities will in principle include Support the security accreditation process of Galileo maintain the schedule of accreditation activities contribute to the preparation of accreditation files and security risks analysis for the exploitation phases and the associated risks treatment plans Follow up the tasks performed by Galileo contractors in the preparation of the security accreditation files for Galileo Support to the development, review and continuous update of the Galileo security baseline along the different service milestones, ensuring that the related security documentation is properly maintained Support to GSA procurements mainly those related to site hosting, infrastructure and operations and assess the impact of changes to the security baseline Contribute to the establishment and continuous update of the Statement of Compliance to the applicable security requirements followup to corresponding actions Technical support to the Commission, its GNSS Security Board and associated working groups when necessary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. In addition to the above, appropriate professional experience6 of at least six years 1. Be a national of a Member State of the European Union 2. Be entitled to his or her full rights as citizen 3.
