Position Reference 111 The Quality Assurance Engineer will contribute to the maintenance of the quality management of the organisation in line with ISO 9001 requirements as well as support our client in the preparation for the recertification to ISO 9001 standard. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Provide updates of the WBS and associated WPDs as required and implement an annual review of the consistency of the WBS. Maintain the collection of standards relevant to our clients online and in single licence formats ISO, ECSS, ITIL. Prepare the establishment of an IMS including Information Security and Quality Management, the update of the related IMS documentation, action plans follow up. Perform an annual review and update of the QM policies, processes and procedures. Implement satisfaction surveys for the departments inhouse and with external stakeholders, analyse the results and provide suggestions for improvements. Prepare the Annual Quality Audit Plan and associated QM documentation. Draft audit reports and manage their approval in coordination with auditees and line managers. Define indicators and data to allow for evaluation of the effectiveness of the IMS. Prepare the annual Management Review agenda, inputs, presentation and minutes MoMs. Provide QM Induction Training for new internal and external staff. Provide advice and guidance to the clients Quality Officers as well as implement the training and inboarding of new Quality Officers. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have at least a relevant qualification from a recognised institution You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management System implementation, audit and maintenance. You have experience in the area of Quality Management and ISO 9001 implementation. You must be fluent in English At least a C1 level Preference will be given to candidates eligible for an EU or national personal security clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL or above. Summary An opportunity for an engineer to provide support on site at ESTEC to the Earth Observation Directorate with the performance, design, development and verification of external radar calibration systems. Objective In the first hand the engineer will support the Sentinel1 Project with EndtoEnd simulators and calibration of the whole system, relating to the Synthetic Aperture Radar SAR payload. The role has three main aspects Mission calibration, EndtoEnd Mission Calibration and Performance and Calibration Targets transponders. Knowledge of SAR technologies, experience in Calibration devices radar and a background in microwave engineering would be suitable. Responsibilities Duties Duties will include but are not limited to the following tasks Specifying performance, design, development and verification approach for external radar calibration systems EndtoEnd Calibration and Performance Assessing mission performance by simulation and error analysis Monitoring the industrial activities concerning mission performance compliance Specifying mission operation scenarios for mission exploitation Conducting inhouse as well as external radar studies Supporting the project team, in hisher area of expertise Reviewing the project documentation as produced throughout the project lifetime Participating in project meetings and reviews Support precommissioning work relating to calibration equipment Qualifications Experience University degree MSc minimum in Aerospace Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. 4 years relevant industrial experience and general knowledge of ESA Earth Observation missions.
